The Peopleclick management team has a rich and diverse background in human resources, customer interaction, emerging technologies, software development and statistical analysis.
Ron Kupferman
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Ron Kupferman brings more than 30 years of information technology experience to Peopleclick. He began his career in the information technology industry with NCR Corporation and in 1972 formed his own software products business. Kupferman founded Global Software in 1981 and through acquisition and internal growth helped it grow into a premier supplier of financial systems for both the healthcare and commercial markets. Under Kupferman's leadership, Global Software spun off four businesses and acquired two others, including two major transactions involving Storage Technology Corporation and the Hathaway Corporation. These transactions provided shareholders with excellent returns on their investment and placed Global Software in a dominant market position in the healthcare and commercial marketplace.
Kupferman holds a BA in accounting from the University of Rhode Island.
Thomas E. Bright, Sr.
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Thomas Bright brings a wealth of experience in building high-performing technology and product organizations and a track record of excellence in execution. Over his 23-year career, he has led global efforts and managed development, architecture, QA, documentation, product service, customer support and, product and release management. Thomas was most recently vice president of engineering at Verisign, where he headed a globally distributed organization whose products and services included the route directory for RFID, ONS and the route directory for .com and .net domains.
Before that, he was senior vice president of products at Artesia Technologies, a company at the forefront of digital asset management. Thomas also served as vice president of engineering at Vastera, a global trade management solutions company, where he was responsible for re-architecting their entire system to a Web-enabled platform using Java, IBM WebSphere and DHTML and was a key player in their IPO. Previously, Thomas held senior technology positions at Fidelity Investments, Progress Software Corporation and Lotus Development Corp.
Michael F. DeFrancesco, CPA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Michael DeFrancesco brings 25 years of accounting and financial management experience to his role as chief financial officer at Peopleclick, including 13 years with software companies. His career encompasses multinational, publicly-held corporations, pre-IPO software companies and Big Four public accounting. As CFO, Michael is responsible for managing the worldwide operations of accounting, financial planning and reporting, treasury, contract management and human resources.
Prior to joining Peopleclick, Michael held the CFO position for three other venture capital backed software companies. Michael has developed and managed effective internal controls systems and GAAP compliant financial reporting systems and has also negotiated and completed numerous rounds of private equity funding, mezzanine and bridge financing and senior secured bank debt. He has also successfully negotiated and completed several strategic merger and acquisition transactions.
Michael obtained his MBA in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago and a BS in Accounting from Indiana University. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Larry Cucchi
Managing Director, International Operations
Larry has over 25 years of information technology and application software experience. He is responsible for Peopleclick's UK and European business development and client services based in London, England. Under Larry's direction the UK office supports over 40 European clients and partners with services including customer and application support, engineering, and implementation. Larry is also responsible for UK and European sales and marketing.
Before joining Peopleclick, Larry was involved in the UK launch of one of the first online computer bureau based payroll systems with Baric, a subsidiary of Barclays Bank and ICL. He then moved to Informatics Inc.'s Accounting Applications division as European Sales Manager, and after a management buyout of that division he joined Global Software Inc based in Raleigh, NC as VP International Operations. Over a period of 8 years he established both direct operations in the UK, Canada and Australia and also set up a group of partners focused on IBM mainframe and mid-range users worldwide. Following his return to the UK, he founded Global e-BIS Ltd which specialized in providing business planning tools and OLAP-based analysis solutions.
Larry studied Economics at Birkenhead College. He is a founding member of the Online Recruitment Marketing Council (ORMC) in the UK.
Randy Jesberg
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Affirmative Action Solutions
Randy Jesberg brings to Peopleclick over 22 years of extensive expertise in business development, international expansion and channel partnerships. As head of the company’s Affirmative Action Solutions division, Randy is responsible for sales, implementation, support, and development of diversity planning and compliance solutions for Peopleclick’s clients as well as the overall management of the Affirmative Action team.
Prior to joining Peopleclick, Randy served as General Manager and executive vice president of global business development at Trintech Group, a leading global provider of enterprise software, consulting and outsourced services for transaction reconciliation, workflow management and regulatory compliance. While there, he led the rapid expansion of the business into new international markets by establishing direct sales/delivery teams and revenue generating channel partnerships. Randy also served as vice president, enterprise resource planning product line at AutoTester, Inc., a leading automated software test tool company designed to help customers worldwide with e-business, SAP R/3, ERP, and Windows software quality initiatives.
Randy earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is an American Society for Quality Assurance-certified software quality engineer (CSQE).
Erik J. Morse
Founder and Senior Vice President Product Development
Erik J. Morse has over 18 years of experience in the software industry and has made pioneering contributions in the areas of internet recruitment, distributed technology and the application service provider (ASP) business model. Erik has built businesses from the ground up in the United States and internationally.
Prior to launching Peopleclick, Erik was a director of development for Seer Technologies, a leader in enterprise software infrastructure products. While at Seer, he led the security products team through the entire development and delivery lifecycle. Erik also spent eight years with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) as a senior software engineer where he specialized in the area of distributed technology.
Erik is the founder of Peopleclick and currently serves as Vice President of Product Strategy. During Peopleclick's formative years, Erik established the organization's business model as an ASP, secured venture funding, developed new business and had oversight for operations. After establishing Peopleclick in the United States he moved to London where he launched the company's global operations and secured the company's first international clients.
Thomas Tisdale
Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
Thomas Tisdale has over 20 years of sales and business development experience in the technology arena. He has set strategic corporate direction and led diverse teams in executing on this vision. Tom is a seasoned business development and strategy executive, with experience in partner and channel development.
Prior to joining Peopleclick, Tom was the Director of Sales and Partner Development at Seagate Software Network Management where he led the company from a direct sales to a leveraged channel model. His efforts in sales development and partner strategy contributed to a 25% growth in business for the company. Tom has also held key sales positions at Wall Data and Information Builders.
As SVP of Strategic Initiatives, Tom is responsible for international expansion strategy and activities. As one of the first employees with the company, Tom was instrumental in growing Peopleclick from one customer to 2,300 and also helped develop international business channels. As VP of Business Strategy, Tom helped crystallize Peopleclick's Total Workforce Acquisition strategy, and identified and executed appropriate acquisitions to accomplish those objectives.
Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech.
